Mosquitoes are well known for spreading certain diseases, but HIV and AIDS are not included among them. They can only transmit illnesses they acquire from infected hosts. Even if a mosquito bites someone with HIV, the virus cannot be passed to another person. There are several key reasons mosquitoes cannot spread HIV or AIDS:

While HIV is not a risk, mosquitoes are still a major concern because they can spread other diseases. The real issue is the range of illnesses they actually can transmit, including West Nile, Zika, and other harmful pathogens.
