Sac Spiders in Athens, GA
Sometimes called a “yellow sac spider,” these spiders are typically pale yellow and may even show a slight greenish tint. They are often found in homes, though they usually enter by accident since they prefer to avoid human contact. Sac spiders are sometimes mistaken for brown recluse spiders due to their similar shape, but they lack the distinctive “fiddle” marking. In general, they feed on other spiders as well as various garden insects.
